Trailing 4-3 with two outs in the eighth inning, Drew Thompson lined a base hit to right field to score Deibinson Romero, and Allan De San Miguel followed with a double to the left field wall to score Thompson as the Fort Myers Miracle held on in the ninth to beat Brevard County 5-4 Thursday night at Hammond Stadium.

With St. Lucie losing to Daytona, the Miracle (14-12) pulled within two games of first place in the Florida State League South Division standings.
