Tuesday, 10 July 2012 Please help out a member of the WA baseball community
Hi to all,
It's 4am Saturday morning June 30th. The house phone rings which immediately has the heart running. Hello - the voice on the other end is sobbing “Dad the house is on fire", your chest tightens with the increase of heart rate and the brain snaps frozen your speaking but nothing is coming out. Suddenly in an instant it all pulls together as you hear the continuing whale "it’s all burning the whole lots going".
Is everybody Ok? - YES is the reply. the kids, the dogs - Yes all are out of the house. The chest releases and clearer thoughts commence. We will be straight over.
Please bring me some shoes, a jumper and some tracky pants for Daniel. rugs for the kids. The quivering voice is gut wrenching as you try to give comforting calming advise.
As long as everybody is out safe. Everything else can be replaced.
Dad, please hurry.
Open the photos and see the material loss. As you can see everything has gone. That really hits home when you’re standing in the clothing isle purchasing your daughter & son in law underwear a couple of hours later.
The young couple will ultimately battle on and start all over.
We are all just happy that we will be able to show you all our daughter, son in law, kids & dogs in person.
A House fire relief fund has been set up to assist them in getting back on there feet. Any assistance is welcome and appreciated.
